"Acceptance is honoring your authentic self"

There are two things in this world that people strive for, wish for, and pray for. They are the two things that put peace in the mind and joy in the heart. If you have not guessed already, I am speaking of Love and acceptance. Today however, I want to speak specifically about acceptance.

There is a very special lady who I want to honor for her lifetime of service to others. The positions she has held have put her in a place where she has had to deal with very difficult people and situations. This would have tainted a lot of spirits but not hers. Throughout her career She has remained positive and encouraging choosing to see the hidden potential behind the struggles and pain. While at an event where she was waiting on customers a gentleman came up to her booth. His face was covered in piercings, and tattoos. She never noticed she simply waited on him like anyone else with kindness and respect. The gentleman was so overcome that she had not judged him he came back over to her and thanked her profusely for treating him like everyone else. She did not see the piercings or tattoos she simply seen the man. What a true inspiration this lady shares daily. Hope, seeds of wisdom and acceptance to all. “What a gift.”

                                               Bright side-Good Deeds for the Week

“L” bought medicine for not one but three elderly dogs bringing them new vitality and relief. Not all three people could afford it. Thank God for wonderful neighbors like “L”

“S” shovels the neighbor’s sidewalk quite often. he says, “it is the neighborly thing to do”. How often do we hear that these days? Way to go “S”

“G” Mows the neighbor’s lawn all summer because he knows how difficult it is for them. He has never accepted money or gas for his time. A true kind heart right there. Aren’t neighbors amazing?
